Falls in the Fall:
Waterfalls and Foliage in the Blue Ridge Mtns

From our meeting point in Brevard we'll have the opportunity to visit between 3 and 5 waterfalls and photograph the spectacular fall foliage. We will include a pre-tour meeting on Wednesday 19th Oct for those of you in the Charlotte area,  to check gear and make sure you're up to speed with the necessary techniques to capture amazing water fall shots. 

We'll be using long exposures to explore creating 'cloud' falls as well as photographing the renowned fall foliage the Blue Ridge Mountains are famous for this time of year.

Waterfalls we'll visit:

  • Looking Glass
  • Living Waters (Mill Shoals Falls)
  • Eastatoe Falls
  • and if time permits, Hooker Falls & Triple falls

Hampton Inn Brevard
If you don't want an early start, this is the closest hotel to our meeting point, but it is fall so expect it to fill quickly!

Experience Level:
All levels welcome.

What to bring:
Digital camera with manual exposure controls
Tripod & remote release
Polarizing and Neutral Density filters
Warm & wet weather gear
Snacks, lunch & water

Important info:
The number of attendees will be limited to a maximum of 10 to provide the best experience and instruction to everyone.

Some of the locations we'll visit will require walking on uneven and slippery terrain, please dress accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
