Join award winning photographer Colin Hocking, LRPS, for a walk along the greenway in south Charlotte. In our 3 hour walk we’ll encounter many opportunities to practice and learn how and when to use various exposure modes, how to compensate for varying light conditions, and setting up composition. Plus, you’ll get to see and photograph nature in our ‘backyard’!

When:
July 11th 2015

Where:
At the greenway entrance near Pike Nursery,
12630 North Community House Rd., Charlotte, NC

Time:
9.30am to 12.30pm

Price:
$10

Please register now as space is limited!

We'll meet at the greenway entrance to the left of Pike Nursery where parking will be easier. Bring your gear, sunscreen, bug repellent and water.

Gear:
For those with cameras with interchangeable lenses, if you have a zoom in the 70-300mm range (or equivalent) that would be perfect. Otherwise, bring what you have.

Your camera manual may also be useful if you're not familiar with changing exposure modes.

It will likely be hot so bring plenty of water and wear comfortable walking shoes.

In case of bad weather bring a waterproof camera bag or even a plastic zip lock bag to protect your camera. (Sometimes bad weather happens after we've set out!)
