Shooting Stars and Falls in the Fall:
on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Join Colin Hocking, LRPS and Jim Covill, BPC's resident astrophotography expert on this fall trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Over the last few months, Colin, Jim, and John Shumate have been scouting for the best locations to shoot the Milky Way, waterfalls and catch the amazing fall colors along the BRP!

This will be a unique opportunity to spend time on night shoots, light painting, photographing Crabtree Falls and taking advantage of the season.

While we can't guarantee the weather, here are some things you'll learn and practice:

• techniques for shooting the stars

• long-exposure light painting

• long exposure waterfall photography

• Landscape techniques and composition 

We'll also provide suggestions on post processing techniques

Since the fall is a very busy time along the BRP, it's important to sign up quickly and reserve your spot as hotels in the are book quickly.

Please make sure any accommodations you reserve are cancellable as we will need 4 people minimum to run this trip. Once we get 4, we're good to go!

Digital camera with manual exposure controls
Tripod & remote release
Polarizing and Neutral Density filters
Warm & wet weather gear

Important info:
The number of attendees will be limited to a maximum of 10 to provide the best experience and instruction to everyone.

Some of the locations we'll visit will require walking on rough and slippery terrain, please dress accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
